The B Family

Back in high school, I used to babysit for this awesome family. They have two little boys, Tony and Nick, and Gioia is their big sister (about to graduate from high school...man, I feel old saying that!). I used to watch Tony back when he had little chubby rolls and cuddled with me all day. I love these little guys (not so little anymore) and was beyond excited to get together for some pictures.

The boys had a pretty good time climbing this great tree we took pictures at.

I even got to sneak in a few pictures of mom enjoying watching her boys play. Cristy is pretty hilarious (and beautiful...see pictures below) and I had fun catching up with her.

Nick was such the little model. He had no problems posing for the camera.

Tony looks just like his dad. I loved how they brought a football and enjoyed tossing it around.

Once Gioia showed up (she got stuck at work), we got to take some family shots with everyone together.

I even got Gioia to pose for the camera. She's so gorgeous, it's really not fair.

Thanks B family for such an awesome time!!

Her brother and his family came down for a surprise visit and they wanted some pictures of everyone together. And let me just say we couldn't have picked a better day! The light was gorgeous and the weather fantastic! Every photo shoot should be like this!

Back in fall of last year, my good friend Janyll contacted me with the some great news- she was engaged! I was so happy when she asked me to be her photographer. I am so excited for her, she is such an amazing person and I know her wedding will be fantastic! I feel so blessed to be a part of it.

Janyll and I both agreed this past weekend when we got together for her engagement pictures that we can't believe February is already here! It seemed like just a few weeks ago we were talking about taking her engagement pictures and the day has come and passed! I had such an amazing time taking these photos. Janyll and Maykel wanted to take their pictures at the Florida State Fair. They love it and go every year. I've never had so much fun at a shoot before! I tell you, every session shoot include gobs of fried food and crazy rides!!

These are just a few of their pictures, I have many more to share! I hope they capture the fun spirit of the day.

Amazing Rehearsal Dinner

A few weeks ago I had an amazing opportunity to shoot the best rehearsal dinner I've ever seen! Liz, mother of the groom, contacted me a little over a month ago about taking pictures at her son's rehearsal dinner in Dade City. It was "Vegas" themed and included a night full of gambling and games! The food was great, there was a full bar, and a wide array of casino games for the many guests at dinner. Now that's a rehearsal dinner! I had such a great time capturing such fun memories for these two families. It was such a great night.

Loved this wheel! You could spin a wide array of results. From, "Pick a prize" to "Give the bride and groom $10" to "Groom leads the group in the chicken dance." (Pictures of the last one down below.)

Liz made an amazing slide show of the bride and groom. She had so many people in tears, it was just beautiful!

Gotta have a conga line!

While in Tampa for the holidays, I had the pleasure of taking pictures for my husband's sister, Alex and her new fiance, Major. The two just got engaged a few months ago and I was so excited to take their engagement pictures! The three of us headed to historic Ybor City (how I wish I could photograph in Ybor more often!) It was a little chilly, but we still had a great time. I am so happy for these two and wish them nothing but the best.

Grad Photo Session

Here are some more photos from my session with Melanie on UF's campus. I really did have a great time capturing these. It was so fun to see people's reaction to two girls walking around campus with this large, beautiful cake!!
Now that the holidays are officially over (minus my birthday in a couple of weeks...woot woot!), I have lots of catching up to do with photography. Watch out for pictures from my first engagement session very soon! Also, I've been working on a new blog, so keep your eye out for that as well! Lots of changes (and hopefully a lot of blessings as well!) in store for 2010! (Which I wholeheartedly believe should be pronounced 'twenty-ten' by the way.)

This is one of my favorite images. I was taking portraits of this family out in a field right before sunset. She was so happy to be outside and was having so much fun running around. She is so adorable and just so captivated by the trees and dandelions, this photo (hopefully) captures that!

Right before the craziness of the holidays, I had the privilege of taking photos of my close friend, Melanie. Melanie just graduated from UF with a PhD! For those of you who don't know, Melanie is very talented and just started her own cake business, PhD.serts. These photos are meant to celebrate two great accomplishments in her life and I hope she realizes how amazing it is that she is both a PhD graduate and an entrepreneur.

I first met this little cutie back in May and I honestly can't believe he just turned one! I feel so blessed to be able to capture all of these amazing moments for such great families and this one is no exception! Sam is such a happy little guy and his birthday party was amazing!

I'm not sure if this picture is the most "Autumn" picture of the bunch, but it was taken at our local Harvest Festival on a cold, autumn day. And I just love this picture of my daughter. Her sweet innocence just beams in this photo and her eyes are so blue against the yellow of the flowers. It makes me smile.

Raeni and Joel: The Wedding {Gainesville Florida Wedding Photographer}

When Raeni and Joel told me about their plans to have an intimate wedding in Cedar Key, I instantly knew I liked them. Their wedding was very similar to my own and was right up my alley. The couple, along with a small group of close family, took a boat out to a small island and had the ceremony right there on the beach. It was amazing!

Joel arrived at the dock early with some of the guys and took the boat out to the beach.

Raeni arrived just minutes after Joel left for the island.

Raeni's nephew had a basket of gorgeous seashells in lieu of the traditional flowers laid down the aisle.

The kids had a blast exploring the beach.

After the ceremony and some pictures with family, Joel, Raeni, and I left to get some great portraits.

We found this great little bar right on the water.

These two were so laid back and a lot of fun. They both did a shot of tequila to celebrate!

Last month, a good photographer friend of mine, Lori Encke, invited me along to shoot a wedding with her in Tampa. I had so much fun!! The wedding was at the beautiful Davis Island Garden Club. It's hard to put into words how amazing it feels to be a part of such an intimate day in someone's life. Magan and Ben were awesome and it was great to see such love between them. It was a wonderful day and I hope you guys enjoy all of your pictures!
