Right before the craziness of the holidays, I had the privilege of taking photos of my close friend, Melanie. Melanie just graduated from UF with a PhD! For those of you who don't know, Melanie is very talented and just started her own cake business, PhD.serts. These photos are meant to celebrate two great accomplishments in her life and I hope she realizes how amazing it is that she is both a PhD graduate and an entrepreneur.

Oh my gosh! I absolutely love the photos, Elise! You are so talented! It was such a bleary, humid day that I was a tiny bit worried (about the gray sky showing up in the pictures)...but I shouldn't have given it a second thought. You're amazing!
The first photo is my fav! I remember when we took that one - one of the last ones of the day and totally spontaneous. :) And I love the symbolism of it...Alberta, the female mascot of UF, who represents all the strong females at UF (past, present, and future) standing behind me. Maybe I'm making too much of it...but how awesome!
And the one with the shoes is adorable too! You definitely have the photographer's eye to think that it would make a great shot.
